If you’ve been, you’ll want to go back; if you’ve never been, believe us, you want to go. Stitch Cleveland is organizing a bus trip to Rhinebeck, NY for the legendary Sheep and Wool Festival. Play a little Rhinebeck bingo, pet the fleeces, drool over (but not onto) the handpainted yarns and other good stuff… we’re going to have a fabulous time. It’s happening 20-21 October.

Please sign up for the announcement list below if you’re interested in going. Those on the list will have first crack at seats on the bus. We’re looking into two options: one, leaving Friday night and driving all night, then spending all day at the show and coming straight home or two, staying over somewhere near the show and driving back Sunday.

The problem is this: the show’s so popular, hotels anywhere near it are very, very booked months in advance. So, if you aren’t interested in an all-night pajama party on the bus, let us know. Pricing and other details will be determined by which option we choose. Feel free to post a comment with any questions and we’ll answer them as best we can!

    woohoo!

    I love Rhinebeck!

Are you looking at booking a block of hotel rooms also? I’d recommend this festival to everyone - it’s amazing! And I’m very excited by the bus trip idea - beats the ten hour drive any day of the week!

I seem to remember going over the George Clinton Bridge last year - which was one of the highlights of the trip - looked out the window, but didn’t see him (or Bootsy!) but did sing P-Funk songs!

Would love to go, it’s been over 30 years since I have been to a ‘pajama party’ so I think I am due. It was back in the day when we had to try to ’steal’ some booze and/or cigarettes from our parents for the party. Thank God THAT pressure is off of me now!!

[squeals with delight] I would so love to be a part of this! Hotels might be booked, but has anyone looked into campgrounds? There seem to be a handful near there and while it might be chilly, it will still be very do-able. [especially if properly armed with warm socks and sweaters!]

I’m seriously thinking about going to Rhinebeck and going with a group would be even better. Not sure about sleeping on the bus, but please keep me in the loop!

I’m interested in going. Never been but sounds great. I like to camp but am OK with group consensus on travel arrangements. Thanks to Andi’s sock class, I DO have warm socks!! I need to see if I can get Saturday cleared so any current info on the plans is appreciated. I’m new to the knitting scene so I’ll have to check-out the link to Rhinebeck. What a great time of year for a roadtrip!
